Bestselling author Amish Tripathi spent a session with students at Neerja Modi School in Mansarovar, Jaipur, talking about his latest book, Dhruv-Tara & The Great Indian History Quiz. It ended with a book signing, where students met the author and had their copies signed.
Most readers know Amish from the Shiva Trilogy, which began with The Immortals of Meluha, and the Ram Chandra Series. Copies of those books were on display at the school alongside the new title.
His first book for young readers
Dhruv-Tara & The Great Indian History Quiz is Amish’s first children’s book, and it mixes adventure with Indian history. Published by Westland Books under its children’s imprint Red Panda, it opens a planned series of seven books for middle-grade readers.
The story follows two classmates who start out as rivals: Dhruv Trivedi, a fiercely competitive student, and Tara Dhoba, a curious newcomer who loves books. The pair are chosen to represent their school in India’s biggest history quiz, which made it an easy sell to a hall full of students.

A session built on questions
The session was lively from the start. Amish walked into the audience with a microphone, took questions from across the hall and kept the conversation going, while students kept their hands up and answered back throughout.

Signed copies to take home
Then came the moment many had been waiting for: the book signing. Students lined up to meet Amish and get their copies of Dhruv-Tara signed, and the cheers from groups holding up their books said the rest.
