CM Bhajanlal Sharma Chairs First ‘Raj Unnati’ Review Meeting, Sets Clear Roadmap for Time-Bound Development

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired the first Raj Unnati review meeting, emphasizing proactive governance, strict accountability, and time-bound implementation of development projects worth nearly ₹2,000 crore to accelerate Rajasthan’s growth and improve public service delivery.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma chaired the first review meeting under the ‘Raj Unnati’ initiative at the Chief Minister’s Office on Saturday, laying strong emphasis on proactive governance, strict accountability, and timely execution of development projects. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on seven major projects and two schemes worth nearly ₹2,000 crore, and key directives were issued to accelerate their implementation.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure time-bound execution of all approved projects and schemes, stressing that any negligence or delay would invite strict disciplinary action. He also personally reviewed feedback from complainants to assess grievance redressal outcomes, providing immediate relief to citizens wherever required.

Strengthening Accountability and Transparent Governance

CM Sharma instructed District Collectors to regularly monitor public grievances and ensure their swift and effective resolution. He directed the appointment of nodal officers for clearing long-pending cases and reiterated that all government departments must function with complete transparency while dealing with citizens.

Highlighting the importance of responsibility-driven administration, the Chief Minister stated that development works must be completed within stipulated timelines. He emphasized better inter-departmental coordination to avoid cost escalations and ensure benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without delay.

Fast-Tracking Land Allocation for Development Works

The Chief Minister directed District Collectors to take immediate action on land allocation required for development projects. He instructed that tenders should be issued promptly after land allotment and work should commence without delay. In areas where land meeting minimum standards is unavailable, projects should be implemented in a phased manner. Officials were asked to adopt a proactive approach to resolve pending cases efficiently.

Making Rajasthan a Leader in PM Surya Ghar Scheme

To accelerate implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: 150 Units Free Electricity Scheme, CM Sharma directed officials to quickly work on a cashless alternative model. He instructed the Energy Department and District Collectors to intensify IEC activities and awareness campaigns to encourage rooftop solar installations. The Chief Minister set a clear goal of making Rajasthan a national leader in the scheme’s implementation.

Timely Replacement of Faulty Transformers & Welfare Scheme Verification

The Chief Minister directed officials to replace burnt and faulty transformers within prescribed timelines. He also instructed the administration to ensure 100% annual verification of pension beneficiaries for specially-abled persons, including doorstep verification where necessary.

Further, CM Sharma directed completion of annual verification under the Palanhar Scheme for guardians and children and ordered the immediate release of pending payments under the scheme.

Upgrading Hiranpura Bus Terminal with Modern Amenities

CM Sharma directed officials to expedite work related to route planning and basic passenger facilities at Jaipur’s Hiranpura Bus Terminal, including shelters, drinking water, and parking. He instructed the Jaipur District Collector, Jaipur Development Commissioner, and Municipal Corporation Commissioner to ensure smooth traffic management around the terminal.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that Roadways and private buses have begun operations from the terminal and that traffic is being regularly monitored by the Traffic Control Board.

Speeding Up Ajmer–Chanderiya Rail Doubling Project

The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite land acquisition for the Ajmer–Chanderiya Broad Gauge doubling project across Ajmer, Beawar, Bhilwara, and Chittorgarh districts.

He also reviewed progress on multiple infrastructure initiatives, including:

  • Solid waste processing plants in Sri Ganganagar, Kesrisinghpura, Srikaranpur, Kota North, Kota South, and Sangod

  • Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) in 65 urban bodies

  • A sports stadium in Lohawat (Phalodi)

  • A sub-district hospital in Ladnun

  • Establishment of Girls’ Sainik Schools in Kota, Ajmer, and Bharatpur districts

District Collectors were directed to prepare effective action plans to meet PM SHRI School ranking criteria.

Regular Verification of Public Grievance Redressal

CM Sharma personally interacted with selected complainants from the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline, seeking feedback on grievance resolution. He reaffirmed that good governance remains the cornerstone of state policy, and officials must discharge their duties with full responsibility.

He directed Principal Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, and District Collectors to conduct regular verification of complaints received through the helpline. The Chief Minister also instructed the Chief Secretary to define a fixed verification workload for officers. Several complainants expressed appreciation for the helpline’s effective functioning.

Raj Unnati: A Strategic Push for Rajasthan’s Growth

Notably, the Raj Unnati initiative has been launched on the Chief Minister’s directions to enable in-depth review of selected projects, schemes, and public-centric works, ensuring faster development and improved grievance redressal across the state.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (CMO) Shri Akhil Arora, Director General of Police Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma, along with senior officials including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, and District Collectors who joined via video conferencing.
