Rajasthan Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Gautam Kumar Dak, inaugurated a new Sahkar Super Mart in Pragpura village of Kotputli-Behror district on Thursday, marking another push toward strengthening the cooperative sector in the state.

The inauguration took place during a farmers' conference organised by Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti Limited, Pragpura. Viratnagar MLA Kuldeep Dhankhad, local representatives, and a large number of residents were also present at the event.

A Push for 'Prosperity Through Cooperation'

Addressing the gathering, Dak said the state government has been taking important steps to strengthen cooperatives under the vision of Sahkar Se Samriddhi, or prosperity through cooperation. He said the effort is aimed not only at administrative reform, but also at building trust, participation, and collective development in rural communities.

He added that the broader policy direction is aligned with the national goal of building a developed India by 2047. According to him, the idea is to expand cooperative institutions down to the पंचायत level, create more local opportunities, and make villages more self-reliant.

Support for Farmers and Local Infrastructure

During his address, the minister said cooperation remains one of the strongest pathways for people who want to work and grow but do not have access to large amounts of capital. He also stressed the importance of digitalisation in the cooperative sector to improve transparency and make benefits more accessible to farmers.

One of the key announcements made at the event was support for the Pragpura cooperative society in the form of a 500-metric-ton warehouse. Dak also said that harvest-related facilities would be made available to the society soon.

Benefits for Residents

Viratnagar MLA Kuldeep Dhankhad said the operation of the Sahkar Mart will help local residents access everyday goods at reasonable prices. He also pointed to ongoing development work in the region and said the cooperative model could play an important role in both farmer prosperity and broader local progress.

The new Sahkar Super Mart is expected to serve as a practical local outlet while also reinforcing the government's larger message that the cooperative movement can become a strong driver of rural development.
