In line with Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision under the Panch Gaurav Yojana, the Jaipur district administration is actively promoting the One District–One Produce initiative, with Amla (Indian Gooseberry) identified as Jaipur’s flagship crop. As part of this effort, a District-Level Amla Buyer–Seller Conference and Exhibition will be organised on February 13 at the State Institute of Agricultural Management (SIAM), Durgapura, Jaipur.

The event is being conducted under the guidance of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni and aims to create a strong and structured market platform for Amla growers, traders, and agri-entrepreneurs.

A Platform Connecting Farmers, Buyers, and Entrepreneurs

According to Chief Organising Officer Dr. Sudip Kumawat, over 700 participants, including Amla-producing farmers, buyers, traders, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), and entrepreneurs from Jaipur district and neighbouring regions, are expected to take part in the conference.

One of the key highlights of the event will be the exclusive stalls showcasing all Panch Gaurav agricultural products of Jaipur district. These stalls will display locally produced specialty crops, their value-added products, and traditional agricultural practices, offering farmers wider visibility and opening up new marketing opportunities.

Focus on Value Addition and Innovation

Deputy Director, Horticulture Department, Shri Harlal Singh Bijarnia, informed that the exhibition will feature a wide range of value-added Amla products, including murabba, candy, juice, powder, and medicinal formulations. In addition, the Horticulture Department will showcase modern agricultural equipment, processing technologies, innovative packaging solutions, and advanced storage techniques.

All exhibitions will be set up outside the SIAM Auditorium परिसर, making them easily accessible to visitors and participants.

Knowledge Sharing and Income Enhancement

During the event, agricultural experts will provide farmers with technical guidance on Amla cultivation, quality improvement, processing, branding, and marketing strategies. The conference is expected to play a crucial role in the conservation, promotion, and market expansion of Panch Gaurav crops, while also contributing to farmer income enhancement and the growth of agriculture-based entrepreneurship in the district.

This initiative marks an important step towards strengthening Jaipur’s agricultural identity and creating sustainable market linkages for local produce.
