Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari highlighted the state's priorities for women and children at a departmental summit in New Delhi on October 8, 2026. Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi chaired the meeting.
The discussions covered women's empowerment, child welfare, girls' education, nutrition and Anganwadi services, bringing together work and initiatives from Rajasthan and other states.
Education and equal opportunity for girls
Diya Kumari said the Rajasthan government was committed to giving every girl access to education and equal opportunities to progress. She also emphasised efforts to improve the health and safety of women and children.
Her remarks placed girls' education alongside child welfare and women's empowerment as connected priorities for the state.

The summit provided a forum to discuss programmes, approaches and work under way across states. Key areas included:
- Women's empowerment and equal opportunities for girls.
- Child welfare and nutrition, with an emphasis on a healthy and safe future.
