An Enemy of the People

Ibsen's Enemy depicts the conflict between an ordinary citizen and the establishment. While investigating a spreading epidemic a conscientious doctor concludes that the town's water supply is dangerously contaminated and home to disease. The doctor sends awareness news to the local newspaper, but the director of the water corporation and the chairman of the municipality want to suppress the matter. In this drama of deceit & betrayal, the committed doctor is declared a public enemy by the very society he was protecting.
