Manchaha is an idea born from dreams and of dreams. It represents a creative utopia, one where artistic expression reigns, free from any limitation or constructs of pattern, order, or logic. It has subverted what a carpet can be in the best way possible; by interpreting it more freely.Â

This exhibition cum residency is a telling of the Manchaha story- of the creation of a new wave of artists from rural India who are weaving their aspirations, experiences, and dreams into their creations. In a world of increasing mindlessness, consumption and imitation; the carpets of Manchaha shine a light on absolute originality woven through industry waste, elevating the perspective and prospects of both the weaver and their works of art, treading softly on the earth, and imploring the same of you.

What does the heart want in this world of obsession?
