Jaipur International Airport is preparing for a busier summer travel season, with a new schedule running from March 29, 2026, to October 24, 2026, expected to increase traffic by around 7.5 percent. The airport anticipates handling an average of 118 daily air traffic movements under the updated timetable, offering travelers more domestic and international connections.

The schedule includes 750 domestic and 74 international weekly air traffic movements, linking Jaipur with 26 destinations. A direct Jaipur–Noida airport service is also under consideration, though it has not yet been officially confirmed.

Quick Highlights

  • The summer schedule will run from March 29, 2026, to October 24, 2026.
  • The airport is expected to handle 750 domestic and 74 international weekly air traffic movements.
  • Jaipur will be connected to 26 destinations under the new plan.
  • Jodhpur airport will remain closed from March 29 to April 28, 2026, affecting 14 daily flights.

What Changes in Jaipur's Summer Schedule

The revised timetable is projected to boost overall air traffic by about 7.5 percent, improving accessibility for passengers and supporting tourism. Stronger connectivity through Jaipur is also expected to benefit Rajasthan’s broader travel economy during the peak season.

Currently, Jaipur operates around 63 to 65 flights daily under the winter schedule. The summer plan is expected to run about 59 scheduled flights per day. However, since air traffic movements count both arrivals and departures, total daily movements will rise to approximately 118, up from around 106 during last year’s summer schedule.

Where Jaipur's Connectivity Is Expanding

Domestic routes will include Bikaner and Udaipur within Rajasthan, along with Delhi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Dehradun, Guwahati, Goa, Hisar, Indore, Chandigarh, Belagavi, Kullu, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Surat, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

International services will connect Jaipur to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Dubai, Muscat and Sharjah.

Domestic operations will involve airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Alliance Air, Star Air and Air India Express. International routes are expected to be served by carriers including Etihad Airways, Thai AirAsia, Air Arabia, Salam Air, SpiceJet and Air India Express.

Why the Jodhpur Shutdown Matters

At the same time, Jodhpur airport will remain closed from March 29 to April 28, 2026, due to runway maintenance and technical upgrades. This closure is expected to cancel 14 daily flights and disrupt connections to cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.

The final commercial flight before the shutdown is scheduled to depart for Mumbai at 1:40 pm on March 28. During this period, Jaipur is likely to handle a larger share of Rajasthan’s air traffic as one of the state’s key airports temporarily goes offline. Jaipur airport handled more than 6 million passengers in the last financial year.
