Amrita Haat has opened at the Shilpgram complex of Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), Jaipur, bringing women-made crafts, clothing, jewellery and food products from across Rajasthan to one venue. The state-level exhibition and sale runs from October 11 to 20, 2026.
Around 170 women's self-help groups and individual women from across the state's districts are participating. For Jaipur shoppers, the fair offers a chance to browse regional products and buy directly from the women exhibiting them.

Women and Child Development Department Secretary Poonam inaugurated the fair at 6 pm on Sunday, October 11. She visited the stalls and spoke with women craft workers about their products.

What shoppers can browse
The stalls combine decorative crafts with clothing, accessories and food products. The range includes:
- Crafts and decor: Handicrafts, papier-mache items, terracotta, glass work and patchwork.
- Clothing and jewellery: Salwar suits, embroidery, chikankari and zari work, lac bangles and artificial jewellery.
- Food products: Pickles, murabba preserves, spices and other products prepared by participating women.
A market for women-led enterprises
Amrita Haat is organised annually to give women and self-help groups a place to exhibit and sell their products. Alongside district-level fairs, the Jaipur event brings participants from across Rajasthan into a shared marketplace.
Poonam said the department aims to help women working in handicrafts become economically self-reliant. She also described how family members were joining women's work, extending the potential livelihood benefits beyond the individual artisan.
