Jaipur is preparing to host a spectacular aerial display as the world-renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is proposed to perform an air show at Jal Mahal on February 22.
To review preparations for the proposed event, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Mr. Bhaskar Atmaram Sawant, chaired a high-level meeting with officials from the Indian Air Force, Police Department, General Administration Department, Tourism Department, Public Works Department, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Jaipur Development Authority, and other concerned departments.
Preparations Under Review
The meeting, held at the Secretariat, focused on key aspects including:
Date and venue planning
Traffic and parking arrangements
Seating management
Security measures
Officials discussed coordinated efforts to ensure smooth execution if the event proceeds as scheduled.
Spectacular Aerial Performance Expected
According to Group Captain Vinay Bhardwaj, the show is expected to feature:
11 fighter jets from the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team
6 helicopters from the Sarang Helicopter Display Team
The teams are known for their synchronized formations and colorful smoke trails, promising an exhilarating experience for spectators. More than 75,000 attendees are anticipated if the event takes place as planned.
Security and Traffic Arrangements
Authorities discussed comprehensive security measures, including:
CCTV surveillance across the venue
Special traffic management plans
Organized parking facilities
The administration is working to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.
Senior Officials Present
Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department, Mr. Naveen Jain, briefed the Additional Chief Secretary on the preparations by the department and Jaipur District Administration. Several senior officials from police, tourism, transport, PWD, and JDA were present during the meeting.
The proposed Suryakiran Aerobatic Show aims to showcase the Indian Air Force’s power, precision, and dedication, potentially offering Jaipur residents and visitors a thrilling experience above the iconic Jal Mahal.
