Madam Madras is a pure-vegetarian South Indian kitchen on the Jaipur–Delhi Highway, opposite NIMS University in Achrol — which makes it a proper excuse for a long drive out of the city with a car full of people.
It opens at 10am and runs till 11pm, and Zomato puts a meal at about ₹350 for two.
What to order
- Benne Podi Masala Dosa — benne is butter, podi is the spiced lentil powder, and together they turn a masala dosa crisp and rich.
- Thatte Idli — the big, flat “plate” idli from Karnataka, softer and wider than the usual kind.
- Chettinad dishes for anyone who wants their South Indian with more heat.
- Fresh chutneys and a proper filter coffee to finish.

The one everyone ends up filming: soft serve that tastes of South Indian filter coffee, served in a brass cup. It is the dessert and the coffee in one.
