Governor Haribhau Bagade joins the President and Defence Minister at Pokhran as the Indian Air Force showcases its combat readiness, advanced defence technology, and indigenous capabilities.
In a remarkable demonstration of India’s growing aerial dominance, Vayu Shakti-2026 was witnessed by Droupadi Murmu, Rajnath Singh, and Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer on Friday.
The large-scale air exercise highlighted the operational strength and strategic preparedness of the Indian Air Force (IAF). From frontline fighter aircraft to advanced air defence systems, the event showcased precision strikes, coordinated combat manoeuvres, and indigenous defence platforms developed under India’s self-reliance initiative.
Governor Bagade appreciated the extraordinary display of professionalism, courage, and technical excellence demonstrated by the IAF personnel. He emphasized that such exercises reflect India’s growing defence capabilities and readiness to tackle modern warfare challenges.
The exercise also underlined the success of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission in strengthening indigenous defence production, reinforcing India’s position as a rising military power.
