The Raj Sakhi District-Level Saras Fair – Jodhana 2026 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Gandhi Maidan, Jodhpur on Saturday. The event was formally launched by Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, who performed the ceremonial Ganpati worship to mark the opening of the fair.
The fair is being organized by the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika) with support from the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. It aims to promote and support products made by rural women while creating opportunities for economic empowerment.
Rural Women BPOs to Be Established at District Level
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Jogaram Patel said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government has presented a historic budget dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of every section of society.
He announced that Rural Women BPOs will be established at the district level with an investment of ₹100 crore. These BPO centers will create new employment opportunities and strengthen the financial independence of women living in rural areas.
Additionally, under the Mukhyamantri Lakhpati Didi Loan Scheme, the loan limit with interest subsidy will be increased from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh, enabling women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses.
‘Saksham Centers’ for Digital and Financial Literacy
The minister also highlighted initiatives aimed at strengthening women-led organizations. Under Rajeevika, 100 Cluster Level Federation offices will be provided buildings with an investment of ₹25 crore.
These offices will host “Saksham Centers” where rural women will receive training in digital literacy and financial management.
In the coming year:
5,000 women from Self-Help Groups will be trained as BC Sakhis
1,000 women will be trained as Bank Sakhis
These initiatives are expected to improve financial access and empower rural women through banking services.
Tablets Distributed to 210 Women in Jodhpur
During the event, 210 tablets were distributed to women and Rajeevika cadres who have shown outstanding work in the region. The tablets aim to support digital inclusion and enhance the efficiency of their work.
Minister Patel noted that Jodhpur district has already achieved its target of creating 28,000 “Lakhpati Didis”, women earning over ₹1 lakh annually through entrepreneurship and livelihood initiatives.

Traditional folk art and local crafts
Events like the Raj Sakhi Saras Fair play a vital role in providing rural women with market access, recognition, and respect for their work.
The Raj Sakhi Jodhana Fair 2026 will remain open to visitors at Gandhi Maidan, Sardarpura, Jodhpur from March 14 to March 20, 2026.
Visitors can explore unique handmade products while supporting rural women entrepreneurs from across the region.
