Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma described the Rajasthan State Budget 2026–27 as “a document of our duties towards 8 crore people of the state.” Addressing a press conference after Deputy Chief Minister (Finance) Diya Kumari presented the budget in the Assembly, the Chief Minister emphasized that the financial roadmap is designed to ensure holistic, inclusive, and sustainable development across Rajasthan.
Presented on the death anniversary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, the pioneer of the Antyodaya philosophy, the budget is dedicated to the welfare of the last person in the queue — women, youth, farmers, labourers, and the underprivileged.
A 41% Larger Budget with Strong Economic Growth
The total size of the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 stands at Rs. 6,10,956 crore, marking a 41% increase compared to 2023–24.
Key economic highlights include:
GSDP projected at Rs. 21,52,100 crore, a 41% rise over 2023–24
Per capita income expected to cross Rs. 2 lakh for the first time, reaching approximately Rs. 2.23 lakh
Capital expenditure of Rs. 53,978 crore, more than double that of 2023–24

Transparency in Competitive Exams: Rajasthan State Testing Agency
To ensure fair and transparent recruitment processes, the government announced the establishment of the Rajasthan State Testing Agency (RSTA). The agency will develop modern online testing centers to conduct competitive examinations securely and efficiently.

86% of 2025–26 announcements fulfilled
93% of 2024–25 announcements implemented
Out of 2,718 total announcements in recent budgets, 2,434 have already been implemented, demonstrating rapid execution.
