Rajasthan Tourism marked a powerful and strategic presence at ITB Berlin 2026, the world’s leading travel trade fair being held in Berlin, Germany. The event, recognised as one of the most influential global platforms for the tourism industry, brings together international destinations, travel companies, tour operators, and policy makers under one roof.

Grand Inauguration of the Rajasthan Pavilion

The Rajasthan Tourism Pavilion (Stand 200, Hall 5.2) was formally inaugurated by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Tourism, Government of India, along with Ajit Gupte, Ambassador of India to Germany.

On this occasion, the Union Tourism Minister also showcased the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy–2025, underlining the state’s proactive efforts to attract international film productions and position Rajasthan as a preferred global shooting destination.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Rajasthan Tourism Commissioner Mrs. Rukmani Riar, Additional Director Pawan Kumar Jain, and Joint Director Dr. Puneeta Singh. Key stakeholders present included representatives from FHTR, Truly India Palace on Wheels, Alchemy Du Voyage Pvt. Ltd., and Interactive Tours to India Pvt. Ltd.

Highlighting Heritage, Architecture and Sustainability

The Rajasthan Pavilion emerged as a major attraction at ITB Berlin, reflecting the state’s rich cultural legacy, architectural grandeur, and forward-looking tourism vision. The display effectively blended traditional aesthetics with modern presentation techniques, drawing strong interest from international delegates and tour operators.

Visitors were introduced to Rajasthan’s:

  • Royal heritage properties and historic landmarks

  • World-renowned hospitality traditions

  • Experiential and luxury tourism offerings

  • Expanding film tourism ecosystem

  • Commitment to sustainable tourism development

Commissioner Rukmani Riar, who is leading the Rajasthan delegation, also held discussions with Hargovind Singh Rana, President of Rajasthan Foundation Germany, to explore collaborative opportunities to further promote Rajasthan tourism in European markets.

Expanding Rajasthan’s Global Tourism Footprint

ITB Berlin 2026 is being held from March 3 to 5 and marks the 60th edition of the globally renowned tourism fair, which has been organised since 1966. Known for its structured geographical segmentation and dedicated sectors such as adventure tourism, business travel, medical tourism, and travel technology, the event provides a comprehensive platform for industry engagement.

Through business meetings, promotional video screenings, and interactive dialogue sessions, Rajasthan aims to strengthen international partnerships and increase foreign tourist arrivals to the state.

With its compelling showcase of heritage, innovation, and sustainability, Rajasthan Tourism has once again reinforced its position as one of India’s most dynamic and globally appealing travel destinations at ITB Berlin 2026.
