Jaipur’s destination wedding and events landscape is set for a major new addition with SKYDOME, billed as India’s first permanent immersive dome venue. The large-scale venue near Jaipur will combine 360-degree projection mapping, programmable lighting and an expansive event space to create immersive experiences for weddings, concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions and brand events.
Located near some of Jaipur’s major luxury hotels, SKYDOME aims to introduce a new format for large-scale events by transforming its interior into fully customisable visual environments. The venue’s projection technology will allow organisers to create immersive settings and storytelling experiences across the dome’s interior surface.
60-Metre-Wide Immersive Dome
According to SKYDOME’s official website, the structure measures 60 metres in diameter and reaches an apex height of 21 metres. The venue features approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of dome space and is designed to accommodate more than 2,000 guests. It also includes around 20,000 sq. ft. of back-of-house space.
One of its key attractions will be 360-degree projection mapping, allowing the entire interior to function as a programmable visual canvas. The format is intended to support everything from elaborate wedding themes and live performances to fashion presentations, exhibitions and large brand launches.
Designed for Weddings, Concerts and Experiential Events
Unlike a conventional banquet hall, SKYDOME is being positioned as a flexible immersive event environment. Its seamless projection membrane has been designed without visible internal ribs or framework, providing an uninterrupted surface for large-scale visual displays.
The venue will also feature an expansive outdoor lawn, allowing events to extend beyond the dome itself. This combination could support multi-format celebrations where outdoor hospitality, dining or pre-function activities are paired with immersive experiences inside the dome.
Focus on Acoustics and Structural Safety
SKYDOME describes the venue as an air-supported architectural structure rather than a conventional tent or temporary truss installation. Its specifications state 86% sound proofing using a double-membrane system.
The official website also lists a B1 flame-retardant specification, temperature resistance ranging from -30°C to +70°C, wind resistance of 80–120 km/h, seven entry portals and a dedicated loading dock.
Close to Jaipur’s Luxury Hotel Circuit
The venue is positioned close to several prominent hotels around the Jaipur-Amer area. According to SKYDOME, Taj Amer is around 2 km away, while The Leela Palace and Le Meridien are approximately 4 km away and Fairmont Jaipur around 6 km away. ITC’s Mementos property in Natata is listed as being within walking distance.
With its combination of large-scale capacity, immersive projection technology and proximity to Jaipur’s luxury hospitality corridor, SKYDOME is being developed as a new destination for destination weddings, concerts, exhibitions, fashion events and experiential brand showcases.
Once operational, the venue will add a distinctly technology-led format to Jaipur’s growing events and destination-wedding landscape.
