The city of melons: TONK

The town is located on the banks of the Banas river & exhibits the rich history of Nawab. The town is also called Rajasthan ka Lucknow and is renowned for Mosques & old Havelis.

BUNDI

Flanked by the hill, Bundi looks aesthetically pleasing during the monsoon season. It is also known as little Varanasi due to several age-old temples within its boundary. Bundi is the place where the Nobel Prize winner author Rudyard Kipling got inspired to start his Novel.

Significant Attractions: Bundi Palace, Jait Sagar lake, 84 Pillered Cenotaph, Raniji Ki Baori, Garh Palace, Nawal Sagar Lake, and Kesar Bagh.

Travel time: Approx 4 hours 45 minutes via road

Best time to visit: August to March. Monsoons are the best time to visit Bundi

Alwar

Also known as the city of Rajput, it is one of the oldest Rajasthani cities. Alwar is well-known for its rich Heritage and Culture and milk cake.

Significant Attractions: BalaQuila, the young Fort, Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary, well known for royal Bengal tigers, Bhangarh Fort, which is well known as India’s most haunted place, and Siliserhlake.

Distance from Jaipur: 159.9 Km

Travel time: 3 Hr 30 minutes by road and 2 hours 30 minutes by train

Best time to visit: is October to march.

July to September is also an excellent time to visit Alwar as there is greenery all the way, the weather is cool, and you witness mesmerizing view of Siliserhlake and Aravarils, but the wildlife sanctuary is closed during this period.

Pushkar

It is one of the popular Hippie destinations in Rajasthan that requires no introduction. The vibrant Pushkar camel fair is famous worldwide, making it a popular destination to visit in November. Monsoon rain makes this place a picturesque location during August and September.

Significant Attractions: Lord Brahma Temple the Pushkar lake Savitri Mata temple and Ram Ji Temple.

Travel time: approximately 3 hours via NH48

Best time to visit: August, November, and December

*Between Jaipur to Pushkar, you can take a halt at Ajmer. Must see attractions at Ajmer include Ana Sagarlake, Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Adhai din KaJhopra and Taragarh Fort.

Sambhar

Also popularly known as Salt Lake City. Excursions to the Sambhar lake and the wildlife sanctuary from Jaipur city are pretty frequent.

Significant Attractions: It is an ideal place to witness the Avian species. Highlights of this place are Shakambari Devi temple, Sambhar wildlife sanctuary, and Sambhar lake. Every year during the peak of the winters, the gorgeous planning was migrated to the lake. It is a renowned photoshoot destination.

Nagaur

The city was established by the areas and is one of the oldest Cities in Rajasthan, resting between two beautiful townsJodhpur and Bikaner. This city host a cattle fair and spicy red chili markets annually.

Bharatpur

Bharatpur is famous for UNESCO’s World Heritage site Keoladeo Ghana National Park, which is the significant bird Sanctuary. It is a man-made wetland. However, this place’s diverse fauna and flora make it a paradise for nature lovers.

Nawalgarh

The city is famous for its Havelis and Fresco and is considered as golden city of Rajasthan. It is a heritage city in the Jhunjhunu district and is part of the Shekhawati region. Visit Nawalgarh if you are an architectural lover.
