To mark International Women’s Day (March 8), the Department of Industries and Commerce will organize a special Women’s Felicitation Ceremony and Discussion Session. The event will be graced by Industries and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, who will attend as the Chief Guest.
The program will be held at the Constitution Club in Jaipur, where women who have made remarkable contributions in various fields—including entrepreneurship, sports, and government schemes—will be honored. During the event, Minister Rathore will also interact with these inspiring women and discuss their journeys and achievements.
Recognition of Women Achievers
The ceremony aims to recognize women beneficiaries of government initiatives as well as those excelling in different sectors. Selected participants will receive letters of approval for government schemes and loan sanction cheques as part of the event.
Additionally, under the One District One Product (ODOP) policy, Minister Rathore will flag off the ‘Kaushal Vahini – Skill on Wheels’ initiative, which will launch a two-day training program for artisans.
Sharing Experiences and Promoting Entrepreneurship
According to Industries and Commerce Commissioner Suresh Ola, the event is being organized jointly by the Department of Industries and Commerce and Rajasthali. Women beneficiaries from several government schemes will share their experiences and success stories during the discussion session.
The schemes represented in the program include:
Vishwakarma Yuva Protsahan Yojana
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme
Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme
One District One Product (ODOP)
Export Promotion initiatives
MSME policies and schemes
Beneficiaries will receive approval letters and symbolic loan cheques for availing benefits under these initiatives. Rajsathali will also organize an exhibition showcasing ODOP products, highlighting local craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.
Women Officials to Lead the Event
To make the celebration even more meaningful, all organizational responsibilities have been assigned exclusively to women officers of the department, said Commissioner Suresh Ola. From planning the event to managing registration, stage operations, and coordination on March 8, the entire event will be handled by women officials.
The program will feature a welcome address by RIICO Managing Director Shivangi Swarnkar, followed by a vote of thanks by Rajasthan Foundation Commissioner Manisha Arora.
Celebrating Women’s Leadership and Empowerment
The International Women’s Day event aims to celebrate women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and empowerment while also highlighting the role of government initiatives in supporting women across industries and sectors. By honoring achievers and facilitating dialogue, the event seeks to inspire more women to pursue opportunities and contribute to Rajasthan’s economic and social development.
