Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved prosecution sanctions against 27 officials in 21 cases involving alleged corruption. The decision was announced in Jaipur on October 23, 2026.

The cases include alleged irregularities in land conversion and land rights, as well as allegations of illegal payments and assets disproportionate to income. The officials covered include two sub-divisional officers and a former deputy superintendent of police.

Land-related cases involving two sub-divisional officers

One sub-divisional officer faces allegations concerning the conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes and changes in land use in violation of rules, allegedly causing a loss to the state government.

The allegations involving the second officer concern misuse of office to secure a decree on a khatedari land claim contrary to the rules, along with accepting illegal payments.

Sanction has also been granted against a former deputy superintendent of police over allegations of corrupt activities, receipt of illegal money and acquisition of assets disproportionate to income.

15 cases across eight departments and project areas

The department-level breakdown covers 15 cases. Agriculture and Horticulture accounts for five, Public Works for three and Commercial Taxes for two. Five other departments or project areas have one case each.
